Skills For Growth

Our Mission
To develop the skills of individuals and communities to respond to the changing needs of a 21st Century workforce.

Formerly Bexley Training Group and Thames Gateway training, Skills for Growth is a registered charity that provides a range of training programmes aimed at all ages.

The majority of training delivered is however to young people in the form of Apprenticeship Programmes and the new Foundations Programmes. Skills for Growth also run a range of short term targeted initiatives that help prepare young people for the world of work.

More recently we have through the highly successful initiative Train to Gain been equipping adults with the skills they need to further progress their career.
We provide training across a range of sectors and the aim is to combine training, and real work that will lead to a recognised qualification.

We have a long track record in vocational training and consistently achieved success rates well above the national averages.

Our recent Ofsted report has this to say about us:

“particularly effective support to motivate learners”
“good overall success rates”
“good development of learners’ skills”
