From the CEO:

It has been a very successful year for us and has seen the move from our previous incarnations to our new company name and corporate image.  We celebrated 25 years of Bexley Training Group at Charlton Football ground in November 2008. We also chose this time to announce our new company name, “Skills for Growth”.  The event was a celebration of our success over the last 25 years by commending learners, staff and employers who have helped us on our way.  The charity “Bexley Youth Training Group” still remains as our legal entity but with our expansions into other boroughs and other sites we felt an umbrella name for our Training operation would be more suitable and less confusing for our customers.

2009 will be a challenging year for all of us, often in times of economic downturn, companies decide not to invest in training.  We would like to encourage all of our existing employers and new employers to work with us to “recession proof” your organisations by continuing to invest in the skills of the workforce.  We deliver apprenticeship training for young people, short skills courses and vocational training for adults already in the workforce and would be happy to help you develop a bespoke training package which suits the needs of your business.
